Bay Scallop shell
Latin name - Argopecten irradians
Small but perfectly formed the "Bay Scallop" is a fantastic product. We have various grades within a 50 to 70mm (2 to 3 inch) size range, measured side to side.
A very similar shell to the European "Queenie" (Chlamys opercularis), but with a slightly deeper cup and more symmetrical shape, making it much better equipped for food presentation.
